

Youth Summer Training Camp

We will be working on all aspects of athletic performance! We will start our sessions with our movement skills warm-up of the day (hopping, jumping, skipping, crawling, tumbling). After we are warmed up, we will work into either our running/change of direction drills or resistance training movements of the day.
The running portion will be sprints from different starts and running mechanics drills. The change of direction drills will be multidirectional drills to get the athlete moving in space. The resistance training portion of the day will be mostly form based teaching and body weight exercises.
We want to put a large emphasis on learning the movement patterns rather than adding weight. If an athlete is proficient in a movement, we may add small weights (plates, DBs, bands) to challenge the athlete further. Our #1 goal is to keep everyone safe and starting to learn how to do squats, hinges, and push/pulling movements.
We plan to finish the sessions with some type of game play.
*If weather isn't cooperating outside we will be moving our session to later in the week (Thursday or Friday) to accommodate to our in-house baseball club
